INSTRUCTIONS

  1. This paper consists of section A, B and C with a total of Ten (10) questions.
  2. Answer ALL questions in section A, B and C.
  3. Section A carries fifteen (15) Marks; B seventy (70) Marks and C fifteen (15) Marks.
  4. Write your Number at the top right hand corner of every page.
  5. Bible and any unauthorized materials are NOT allowed in examination room.

SECTION A (15 Marks)

Answer all questions in this section.

1. For each items (i)-(x), choose the correct answer from among the given alternatives and write its letter in the box provided below (10 Marks).

(i) “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” (Gen 1:9). In same day what did God also create?

(ii) According to Genesis 2:7; God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living being. How do we call this kind of creation?

(iv) Offering to God reveals faithfulness to him. How was this act revealed in the Bible Genesis 4:3-5?

  3. Cain’s offering was not regarded by God like that of his father Adam.

  4. They sewed fig leaves to make themselves aprons.

(viii) Among the following, who is the son of Cain?

3. During the time of Noah, God destroyed the Earth by the flood of water except Noah and His family:-

  3. Give two reasons which led Noah and his family to be spared by God? (04 Marks)

4. A number of faithful offer what is the best to God as Abel did. Some of the faithful still offer what has been left on their daily budget, they display the character of cain.

  3. Mention three (3) sons of Cain according to Genesis 4:17-18 basing on Cain’s family line or descendants of Cain. (03 Mark)

5. In biblical literature the tower of Babel was a structure built in the land of Shinar (Babylonia) sometimes after the flood.

7. In Genesis 11:27 to 12:20 is about Terah Genealogy and on talk about the call of Abram

(a)  During the call of Abram, God made several promises. Briefly give three (3) promises  (03 Marks) 

(b) Identify two (2) reasons for Abraham’s call (2 Marks) 

(c)  (i) How old when Abraham departed from his native land? (2marks)

8. In Genesis 13:1-18, We read about the separation of Lot from Abram and the promises which God gave to Abram.

  1. Briefly explain the difference between a promise and a covenant. (04 Marks)

  3. Why did lot choose the Jordan Valley? (03 Marks)

9. “God told Noah and his family with animal to go in the ark, to escape the waters of the flood” Genesis 7:6-10.

  3. Mention the name of birds sent by Noah to check on water after the flood.(02 Marks)

10. God gave Adam and Eva the responsibilities of protecting and taking care of the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:15). Considering the responsibilities given to them, explain four ways you would use to protect the environment.
