SECTION A: (15 Marks)

Answer all questions in this section.

1. For each of the items (i) - (x), choose the most correct answer from the given alternatives and write its letter in the space provided.

(i) God asked Adam, “Where are you?” (Gen 3:9) Have you eaten the fruit I told you not to eat?” (Gen 2:11) The answer was:

(b) “God said to Adam the ground is cursed because of you” (Gen (3:17) Explain how man has become a victim of the curse today. Use two (2) points. (2 marks)

(c) In showing how important water is for human being and other living things, God made a river for the Garden of Eden (Gen (2:11-14). (3 marks)

(d) Suggest three (3) ways how Tanzanians can protect water sources today. (3 marks)

4. In our life today, some people go through different challenges as it was with the Israelites in Egypt. There is the challenge of child labor, killing of innocent people and abuse of power from leaders. This is evident in (Exodus 1:8-22)

(a) In two (2) points Explain how Israelite's were oppressed by pharaoh. (02 Marks)

(b) What were the fears of the new Pharaoh of Egypt over the Israelites’ three (3) (03Marks)

(c) How did the Hebrew newly born male babies survived the killings? three (3) (03Marks)

(d) As the Israel baby boys faced death from pharaohs regime, thus children in Tanzania faces several challenges. Explain by giving two (2) points the challenges children now days faces (02 Marks)
